About Empire of Gears
A small, independently developed idle factory game that runs in your browser.
What it is
Empire of Gears is a browser-based idle factory game. You build a factory tile by tile, connect machines into production chains, sell what they make and reinvest the proceeds. It's free, needs no download, and works the same on a phone as it does on a desktop.
The idea behind it
A lot of idle games either bury you in menus or lean on stacked multipliers that stop meaning anything after an hour. The goal here was something more tactile: a factory you can actually see, where a machine's position on the grid matters, where a stalled production line has a visible cause you can go and fix, and where the numbers stay legible instead of running away into meaningless notation.
That's also why systems get hidden until they're genuinely finished. It's better to ship a smaller game that works than a menu full of half-built features.
What to expect
Expect steady incremental progression: build machines, raise cash per second, unlock more space, repeat. Expect the game to keep running while you're away. Expect leaderboards if you want something to chase, cosmetics if you want to personalise your character, and optional purchases that speed things up but are never required.
Also expect it to keep changing. Balance passes, new machines and bug fixes land regularly, and every one of them is written up on the updates page.
Who makes it
Empire of Gears is built and run by Blacklane Solutions — a very small independent team, not a studio. That means direct contact with the people who actually write the code, and it also means replies to support messages can take a couple of days. Feedback and bug reports genuinely shape what gets built next.

Empire of Gears is independently directed and operated by Blacklane Solutions. Artificial intelligence tools assist with parts of development, artwork iteration, testing and the in-game Gear Guide. Product decisions, economy rules, moderation and releases remain under human control and review.
