This page explains the cookies and browser storage Empire of Gears uses, and what each one is for.
Strictly necessary
Signing in stores an authentication session in your browser (cookies and local storage) so the game knows who you are and can load your factory. Without it you can't stay signed in. We also store small preference values — such as your last-seen update notice — in local storage so the interface behaves consistently between visits.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Stripe. When you open a checkout, Stripe sets its own cookies to secure the transaction and prevent fraud. We never see or store your card details.
Advertising
Empire of Gears does not show advertising. No ad networks are loaded, and no advertising or ad-personalisation cookies are set by the game.
Analytics
We use basic, aggregate traffic measurement provided by our hosting platform to see how many people visit which pages. It is used to improve the game and the site, not to build advertising profiles.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear site data from its privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the game from loading your saved factory. Empire of Gears does not set advertising cookies.
